Marketing is done on two levels:
National
One percent of royalties by each franchisee is paid into the National Ad Fund, which is administered by the Chief Marketing Officer at Home Office. Projects supported by this fund include national direct mail, national public relations efforts, national television commercial production and placement, website development and improvement and an Internet marketing platform. The Ad Fund also supports national product placement in movies and television and development of promotional collateral.
Local
As a local company, you want to invest a percentage of the previous years' revenue on local marketing. Activities implemented and supported on a local level include grass roots marketing, community support, social media and local chamber and association involvement. More can be added if you so wish.
